Freedom Church Chester began life as an idea in the mind and heart of Keith and Rachel Cooper. For a number of years they had been thinking and praying about the possibility of starting a church in a significant Cheshire city. They moved to Chester in August 2012 to plant a new church within the city walls of Chester.
At Freedom Church the teaching is based on the authority of the Bible. We strive to be a worshiping, spirit-filled community where the evidence (‘fruits’ and ‘gifts’ in bible language) of the Holy Spirit at work is, well, tangible.
We value home, church and work life equally and view all of these as valuable in God’s Kingdom. Together we want to love and bless the city, and we feel the best way to achieve this is to be God’s hands, feet and mouth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and doing the things that Jesus Christ would do if He were physically here in Chester.
We strive to be a church on a mission, one which reaches the people of Chester with the love of God, and which grows by planting more churches.
Freedom Church Chester is part of the Newfrontiers family of churches. For more information please visit the Newfrontiers Website.
